Hezekiah Gahagan, 80, of 41 North Street Asheville, died in an Asheville hospital at 4:30 AM Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1958, following a long illness. A resident of Asheville for the past 30 years, he was a native of Greenville, Tenn. Surviving are the widow Mrs. Mattie Gahagan, three sons, Carl Gahagan of Johnson City, Tenn., Robert Gahagan of Swannonoa and Edward Gahagan of Asheville; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Sprouse of Florida; one brother, John Gahagan of Marshall; and three sisters, Mrs. E. Trimble, Mrs. Alice Honeycutt and Mrs. Magnolia Shelton, all of Madison County.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, from the Asheville Times, 8 Jan. 1958.
