MURRAY--William Edward Rogerson, 83, passed away March 15, 1999 at home.

He was born July 30, 1915 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Thomas John and Francis Lonvall Rogerson. He married June Dunn, Sept. 12, 1938 in Midvale, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a retired locomotive engineer for Kennecott Copper Corp. An active member and High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, served many years as a scouter, in the Church welfare program and served faithfully in many other Church responsibilities. He was an avid and skilled fisherman.

Survivors: Wife, daughter, Patricia Ann Elliot, son, William Kenneth (Louise) Rogerson, sisters, Genevieve Moulton and Isabell Sorrels, grandchildren, Kenneth (Alisyn), Rachelle, Stephen (Vicky), Jeri Blackwell (Steve), Edward, six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 19th 1999, 1 p.m. at the Murray 8th LDS ward, 160 East 4600 So. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church 12:00 to 12:45 PM. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
