Letitia Taylor White, 48, died February 23, 2005, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Donald L. White, Sr.; two sons, Richard A. Johnson, Jr. and Donald L. White, Jr.; one daughter, Meghan S. White; her mother, Shelby Madison Taylor; one brother, Clyde Adolphus Taylor, Jr.; two sisters, Natatia Taylor Dodson and Karana Taylor Foster; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Clyde Adolphus Taylor, Sr.

She was a 1974 graduate of Norview High School, completed her undergraduate work from Norfolk State University, and received her Masters Degree from Regent University.

She began her teaching career at Georgetown Primary School and continued teaching Pre-K and third grade at Young Park Elementary School.

Her love for childred led her to begin a ballet school to enhance the cultural development of her students. She had over 75 students enrolled in her "Toe 2 Toe" Dance School.

She was also a tennis champion representing Horton Tennis Academy in numerous tennis tournaments.

Her homegoing celebration was held at noon Saturday, February 26, 2005, at her church, Second Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns presiding. Interment Roosevelt Memorial Park in Chesapeake. Viewing was Friday, February 25, 2005, from 2pm to 8pm at Riddick Funeral Home.
