Muriel Jane Driscoll was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Beamish and William Driscoll.
Muriel grew up in Wolford Township near Merrickville, Ontario. She trained as a teacher at the Ottawa Normal school and served as a teacher in one room schoolhouses in Montague Township in the late 1920s.
In October of 1930 Muriel married Hubert Donald McKibbon. Together they had 3 sons and 12 grandchildren.
Muriel and Hubert moved to Sudbury in 1936. Muriel was a very active member of St. Paul's United Church.
Muriel died in Sudbury in 1990 at the age of 85.
