Nell Brant, 93, 530 N. East St., Greensburg, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 29, 1989 in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born April 5, 1896 in Sullivan County, Ind., the daughter of Daniel V. and Alice Jackson Howard. She was a member of the Greensburg First Baptist Church and the psi Iota Xi sorority. For many years, she worked as a leader with the Girl Scouts in Decatur County.

She married Stacy Brant Nov. 25, 1919, in Westport, and he preceded her in death May 18, 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, Wilson Wade Brant, who died when he was seven years old. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Dr. Lee C. Riggs of the Greensburg First Baptist Church will conduct the funeral at 10 a.m. Friday in the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Ind.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
