Gwendolyn Mildred “Gwen” Bush
March 14, 1928 – Feb. 23, 2013

Her loving family surrounded Gwen at her home when she entered into her new life after a brief battle with cancer. She has been welcomed above by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Lance; sister, Shirley and brothers, Dale and Larry.

Born in Cheraw, CO., Gwen married Clyde Bush in 1946. She is survived by her husband Clyde, children, Vicky, Gary, Sandra, (Kent) and Todd, (Karen). There are nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and extended family.

Gwen was active in the Vacaville Community with Vaca FISH for over 25 years, with the Saturday Club, Golden Girls, Vaca Arts Council, Vacaville High School Quarterback Club, Senior Tennis Group and Pious Painters. She was honored as a Vacaville Quarterback Sweetheart, Salute to Seniors, the Saturday Club Stars Gala and as a Good and Faithful Servant by her church family.

A Memorial Celebration of Gwen's life will be held on Friday, March 8, at 11 a.m., at the Christian Church of Vacaville, 66 Vine St., Vacaville, where she was a member for over 55 years. Rev. Arne Larsen presiding. A reception will follow with inurnment at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Midway Road, Dixon at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Church of Vacaville.

Arrangements under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.
