Hattie was the oldest of five children born to Frederick 'Fred' and Augusta (Golnick) Bunse. She married Steven F. Yocom, Sr. in 1919 and they had two children: Steven F., Jr. and Shirley A.

EMMONS —Mrs. Steven (Hattie A.) Yocom, 73, of Nunda Township all her lifetime, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the Naeve Hospital. She had been ill with heart complications.
Born Sept. 15, 1893 she was a daughter of the late Fred and Augusta Bunse. She was a member of the Emmons Lutheran Church and its Martha Circle, and was a charter member of Emmons American Legion Auxiliary.
Mr. And Mrs. Yocom were married March 5, 1919. He survives her.
Other survivors are a son, Steven F. Jr., Emmons; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Reindal, Alden; a sister, Mrs. John Brudos; a brother, William, both of Albert Lea and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Emmons Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. The Rev. Clifford Paulson will officiate.
