Hubert H. Klein of Stonewall passed away on Saturday, July 6th at his residence at the age of 88 years.

Hubert Klein served as an aerial gunner in a B-24 Liberator during World War II. He served in the US Air Forces 1942-1945 and attained the rank of Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife: Jeanette Pehl Klein of Stonewall; Two Daughters, One Son and spouses: Michelle and David Stahl of Fredericksburg Michael and Susan Klein of Austin, Rhonda and Bryon Schaetter of Fredericksburg; Eight Grandchildren: Carrie and Derek Hinshaw, Deanne and Manuel Gonzales, Bartley Schaetter, Brianna Schaetter, Baleigh Schaetter, Elizabeth and Eddie Byrd, Katherine Klein, Allison Klein; Three Great Grandchildren: Norah Faith Gonzales, Blake Byrd, Cole Byrd; One Sister, Two Brothers and spouses: Lucille, Mrs. Victor Kott of San Antonio Clarence Klein of Stonewall, Alton and Mary Klein of Stonewall; Sister in law and brother in law: Clara and Ed Schneider of Fredericksburg

The body will lie in state in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Mass of Resurrection with the Rev. Jim Harnan officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Stonewall Community Cemetery with military honors.
