Atilano was born in Sabinal, Texas. He lived in McGregor for many years, owning his own barber shop business, and was a founding member of the AMA of McGregor, and active in the BTA. Soc. M. M. de Jornaleros, in Waco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela Acosta.
He is survived by daughter, Anita Aldama and husband, Lawrence, of Keller, TX; son, George Acosta and wife, Yolanda, of North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Vincent Aldama, Georgianna Louchery, Miranda Jackson and husband, Percival, Jorge Adam Acosta, Graciela A. Acosta; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Vanessa, Sean, Naomi, and Grant.
