Lonnie Robinson ...officiating and interment is in Reedy Creek Cemetery in Pavo. Pallbearers are friends of the family. Mr. Herring died June 14 at Delray Community Hospital.

Born Jan. 5, 1939, in Pavo, he was a son of the late Willie F. and Susie Presley Herring. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Delray, Fla., and was honored by the city of Delray Beach for his heroic act during a traumatic situation involving one of his fellow co-workers.

Survivors include his wife, Carrial Herring of Delray Beach, Fla.; son, Anthony Herring of Delray Beach, Fla.; daughters, Monica Herring, Shakella Herring both of Delray Beach, Fla.; brothers, Herman B. Herring, Theodore Herring, Melvin (Janie) Smith, Carlton (Ezztta) Herring, Elder Herbert (Rene) Herring; sisters, Pearline Dean, Jeanette Brown, Louise Gamble; uncles, Elvin (Christine) Herring, Andrew Herring; seven grandchildren; and numerous caring neices, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Erice (Ruffs) Stokes, Annette (Raymond) Holton and Willie Mae Bryant.
