MaryAnn Gatto, 86, of Crystal Lake, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Centegra Hospital – Woodstock.
She was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Chicago, the daughter of Stanley and Julia (Zurawski) Kuick. She married James Gatto on Feb. 14, 1948, at St. Genevieve Church in Chicago.
MaryAnn was a former employee of Jewel Foods in Crystal Lake and spent her retirement years reading, working on crossword puzzles, watching mystery movies and enjoying her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a sister, Margaret Malloy; and a brother, Stanley Kuick Jr.
She is survived by two sons, James Paul and Michael; two daughters, Jane and Julie Ann; a brother, Leonard (Carol) Kuick; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 West Route 14, Crystal Lake, and proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church for an 11 a.m. Mass celebration. Interment for the family will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
