Gordon Comer Reedy of Bel Air died Jan. 7, 2001 at Hart Heritage House. He was 84.
Born Aug. 6, 1916 in Troutdale, Va., he was the son of the late Orley G. and Dora B. Reedy. He graduated from Bel Air High School and attended a business school in Baltimore. He was raised in a Christian family and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bel Air.
He worked as a farmer with his father, brother, Joseph Hayden Reedy, and nephew, David Reedy, on the Popular Grove Dairy Farm in Bel Air, which is now Major's Choice.
Mr. Reedy is survived by three sisters, Clara E. Richardson of Bel Air, Jessie Hazel Wagner of Ridgley, and Edith Halsey of Marion, Va.
He was predeceased by his three brothers, Carl Vance Reedy of Pylesville, Joseph Hayden Reedy of Bel Air and James Lester Reedy of Troutdale, Va.
A viewing was held on Jan. 10 at the Evans Funeral Chapel in Bel Air. Funeral services followed at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Hubble officiating. Interment was in the Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were David Reedy, Norman Grafton, Tim Grafton, Jeff Grafton, Gene Tracy, Hugh Richardson, Ronald Richardson and Phil Moyer.
