Leland Barratt Petersen, age 92, died April 20, 2000 at his home in Murray.

Survived by his sister, Stella Hatch; daughter, Barbara Lee Tucker, sons, Ron, Brad; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Family was everything to Lee who was an Elder in the LDS Church. As a hardworking auto mechanic who owned Lee's Motor Service, he enjoyed his customers and liked keeping them moving. "Old Peter" had a heart and a sense of humor as big as the great outdoors which he loved so much.
"Don't think of him as gone away
His journey's just begun;
Life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much."
Gramps, we'll love ya always. No worries.
