Obituary provided by Deborah Threlkeld Smith: Richard McCoy Dye, age 91, of Pencham Road, Trenton [Kentucky] passed away 5:35 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Maddux Funeral Home Pembroke with Rev. Travis Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Maddux Funeral Home Pembroke. Mr. Dye was born October 8, 1921 in Mason, Texas, the son of the late Uriah Baxter and Flora Dye. He was a veteran in the US Army during WWII. He was a self-employed contractor for K&D Development and Construction. Richard was a member of Trenton United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Daphane Clark Dye in 1989, his daughter, Sheri Elaine Ryan in 2005; and his brothers, Charles, Langford, and Herbert Thomas Dye. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Walker of Trenton, KY; two grandchildren, Sandra Bonner of Hopkinsville, KY, and Jeffrey David Lee Walker Jr. of Austin, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Clayton Andrew, and Lily Glori-Ann Bonner.
