"Mary A. (Poor) Harrington died in Woburn, Mass., June 16, 1884, in her seventy-fifth year, after declining about three years. She was much loved and respected by all who became acquainted with her. She was fond of reading, had a great memory and Hannah [Plympton], her niece, who has resided with her in Cummingsville for some time, says it was a rich treat for one to hear her aunt relate what she had learned by reading and to give a description of what she dad seen; and says she never knew her aunt to speak ill of anyone. Her husband, with whom she had lived fifty years, her son Charles Henry and the two children of this son are the survivors of her family."
Her death notice appeared in The Woburn Advertiser, 19 June 1884.
