Of Jackson went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Countryside Manor with her loving family by her side. Shirley was the daughter of Herbert and Rose (Brandeberry) Vincent born October 19, 1934 in Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Carl Huntoon; her parents; three brothers, Leonard Vincent, Harold Vincent, Robert (Mary) Vincent; brother-in-law, Harvey Huntoon. Shirley is survived by two children, son, Mark (Lisa) Huntoon; daughter, Sheryl Berry; eight grandchildren, Brenton, Abigael, Nikki, Natalie, Brian, Kellie, Morgan, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren, Lola, and Carli; four sisters, Marjorie Howard, Evelyn Ratliff, Elaine (Monroe) Howard, Lilah (Merlyn) Smith; two brothers, Phillip Vincent, and Gerald (Mary) Vincent; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Huntoon was a wonderful loving person caring for everyone else before herself. She was a devoted homemaker; dearly loving her husband and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Vandercook Lake Baptist Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed walking with her husband, spending quality time with her grandchildren, who were her world. She was dearly loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Countryside Manor and Allegiance Hospice for their loving care; special thank you to Gloria for her loving care of mom. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at WATSON FUNERAL CHAPEL Wednesday, May 22, 1:00 P.M., Reverend Kyle Vegter officiating.
