Robert Dale Owen Andrews, 85, pioneer resident of Brillion, passed away at his home Monday at 4:30 pm. He had suffered injuries in a fall on the ice on Dec 10, and complications set in causing his death.

Born October 6, 1863, in the Lighthouse at Manitowoc, he came to Brillion with his father by ox-cart when he was five years of age.

He was a registered pharmacist and operated a drug store at Brillion for over 60 years, and he aslo was a representative of the New York Life Insurance Co. for over 50 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Brillion and the Morning Star Rebecca Lodge of Chilton.

On September 27, 1890, he was married to Louise Reuther at Brillion and in 1940 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Dale E Andrews of Kaukauna; two daughter, Mrs Nelson B Haller (Lavern) of Brillion and Harriet Andrews of Green Bay; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Luecker Funeral home with the REv. Wendell Bennets officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in the Brillion cemetery.

**additional info from an obit posted in the Wisconsin State Journal, 31 Dec 1947 p5; He was the founder of the Golden Rule store in Brillion which his father was the keeper. The store was established in the late 1870's. The store "sold almost everything and where Mr Andrews passed out his philopsopy free with sales."
