Completed his education for the ministry at St. Christiania Seminary at Basil, Switzerland. Came to the U.S. 1891 and was ordained pastor at Evangelical Zion church of Milwaukee Oct. 1891, Evangelical Synod of North America. Began pastoral duties at Antigo until May 1905 when he moved to Fall Creek accepting a call from Parish Friedens church. He also served at Cadott and Elk Mound. Served his 3 congregations until 1922 when ill health compelled him to retire. Attained the age of 61 years, 9 months 3 days. Surviving are his wife Rosa, daughter Mrs. George Zetzman, 3 sons,-Milton and Oscar of Milwaukee, Armand of Fall Creek, a granddaughter Ruth May. A sister and 2 brothers live in Switzerland.
