Seth L. Bayne

Seth L. Bayne, 75, of Albany died Thursday. Mr. Bayne was born in Peoria to Leighton and Nellie Bayne. He graduated from Halsey High School and moved to Albany in the early 1940s. Mr. Bayne worked for the Simpson Timber Co. plywood mill for 43 years, one month and a week. He belonged to the Elks and Eagles Lodges and the American Legion.
He was married May 22, 1986, and his wife Shirley survives. Also surviving are son Terry of Scio; daughters, Carol Stubbs of San Jose, Calif., and Vicky Snyder of Albany; sisters Maryann Raymond of Vancouver, Wash., and Alice Lenhard of Troutdale. Brothers Dan Bayne, Sr. and Lewis Bayne died before him.
Visitation will be until 4 p.m. today at AAsum Funeral Home. A celebration of Mr. Bayne's life will be at 11 am. Monday at Grace bible Fellowship in Tangent. Pastor Don Bayne, Seth's nephew will officiate. Burial will follow at Willamette Memorial Park.
