Louise Harvill Stewart McKelroy

WEBSTER PARISH, LA - Funeral services for Louise Harvill Stewart McKelroy will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Doyline, LA.

Officiating will be Rev. Tom Carlton with Rev. Bill Crider assisting. Burial will follow in the Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, LA. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday at Rose-Neath, Minden.

Louise was born on September 8, 1918 and she passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86 on October 18, 2004 at her home in Doyline.

Louise was a retired employee of the Webster Parish School Board having served as a School Bus Driver and as a School Secretary at Doyline High School. She was very active in her church, First Baptist Church of Doyline and she especially enjoyed painting the backdrops for various holiday celebrations at the church. Louise enjoyed gardening, farming, fishing, riding her tractor and helping raise cattle.

Preceding Louise in death were her parents, Turner Coleman Harvill and Lillie Goff Harvill; her son, Gary Thomas Stewart; her husband, G. S. McKelroy; her brother, Rex Harvill; and her three sisters, Elvie Harvill, Shirley Harvill Cobb and Stella Harvill Moore.

Louise is survived by her sons, William H. Stewart and James P. "Jimmy" Stewart and his wife Renee'; grandchildren; Tara Stewart, Mark Stewart, Jamie Stewart and Ryan Stewart; step-sons, Rodney McKelroy and Rondall McKelroy and Colin McKelroy; several nieces, nephews, and a special cousin, Myrtis Anders.

The family ask that memorials in Louise's name be made to the First Baptist Church in Doyline, LA.
