The passing of Dorothy Eileen Rideout of Fredericton, widow of the late Eugene Rideout, occurred Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the age of 91. Born at Brookville, Carleton Co., NB, she was a daughter of the late Ervine and Vera (Kirkbride) Tompkins.
Eileen was a faithful member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church, Fredericton. She was a member of the church CWL and St. Dunstan's Quilters. She worked for the Federal Government Department of Health and Welfare (now known as Dept. of Human resources) for 20 years.
Eileen is survived by a daughter, Anne Marie McCallum (Russell) of Ottawa, and a son Paul Rideout of Fredericton.
Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery.
