Jacob Schertz was the first of ten children of Peter G. & Mary A. (Augspurger) Schertz. Having only lived a brief six months there is no more information on record besides his name and dates of birth and death. It is assumed that he was interred in the Mennonite Cemetery in Trenton, Butler Co., Ohio since it has an abundance of Schertz & Augspurger family members there.
