Son of William Henry Perrin (the Kentucky historian) & Edmonia B. Orendorf.

Dr. Perrin was pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville Texas for a total of 25 years, from 1914 to 1920 and from 1930 to 1948. He served as a chaplain overseas during WWI. He celebrated 50 years in the ministry in 1956 when he retired. He married Marjorie Starkweather on May 29, 1913 in Coleman, Texas. They had 3 Children, Martha, Jane, and Taylor, Jr.
