On November 21, 1993 Lena Gibbs of Edmonton passed away at the age of 57 years.
She was best friend, mother, grandmother and sister to four daughters, four grandchildren who were her life, three brothers; and six sisters; numerous beloved friends and relatives. Predeceased by her son-in-law, Greg in 1990; brother Marshall; brothers-in-law, Paul and John; and her parents. Mom's rule of life was to take the time to show the ones you love that you care, and that there was nothing else more important in life than people.
Prayers Tuesday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn, 16310 Stony Plain Road. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Reverend Leonard Gartner on Wednesday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18407 - 60 Avenue. Interment will take place in St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Rochfort Bridge. No flowers, please. Memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, T6G 1Z2, St. John's Ukrainian Catholic cemetery Fund, Rochfort Bridge or to a charity of the donor's choice.
