The Glenwood Cemetery Index reports that Emma was buried June, 1907. However, note, written in 1911, by her daughter, Sarah Iona, relates the following:
"Emma Helena Hensley born Dec. 6, 1844, at Brenham, Texas, married Archibald Mc Arn Mc Bryde, of Blue Springs, Robeson Co. N. C., Oct. 6, 1874, she died June 2, 1908 at Austin Texas, Daughter of Johnson & Sallie J. Hensley, of Tenn."
Though the note reported that she died June 2, 1908, Emma's obituary was found in a June, 1907, newspaper - The Houston Daily Post (Houston, TX), Monday, June 3, 1907, (p. 6, col. 2).
