Celebration of Life services for Esther F. Bender Bell will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Kalona United Methodist Church, Kalona, IA. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, July 2 from 3-7:00 PM and 9-Noon Wednesday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A general memorial in the name of Esther F. Bender Bell has been established.
Esther was born September 9, 1946 in rural Kalona, IA the daughter of Ivan and Mattie (Miller) Bender.
She was a member of the Kalona Methodist Church and was a cook at Pleasantview Home, Kalona.
She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, games and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Survivors include five children Melvin and wife Melissa Bell, Lloyd Bell, Donald Bell and John and wife Ariel, all of Kalona; five brothers and one sister; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Nancy M. Komarek and nephew Paul David.
