Mr. Bramlett received his Associate Arts degree from Young Harris College and his Bachelors, Masters and Specialist Degrees in Education from the University of Georgia. He was a longtime school administrator, having served in numerous counties, retiring from Thomasville City Schools. Mr. Bramlett served on the YMCA State Board of Directors, was a member of the Georgia Association of Educators and the Madison County Retired Teachers Association. He was a member of Thomasville Rotary Club, Cordele Lions Club, Hartwell Lions Club, charter member of Winterville Civitan Club and member of Winterville United Methodist Church. Mr. Brameltt served on numerous boards and received many honors and awards of distinction. In 1994 Mr. Bramlett co-authored with Cecil Shannon Mize a book entitled, "Ashland, A Farm Community in the Twenties and Thirties."

Services for Mr. Bramlett were held Friday, January 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the Winterville United Methodist Church. Revs Bill Reeves and Larry Amos officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens.

Pallbearers were: Herschel Reeves, Billy Williams, Dub Melton, Roger Murray, Bill Looney, and Sonny Thornton.

Honorary pallbearers were: Members of the Winterville Civitan Club and Andy Wood, Billy Bowman, Guy Cabe, Jay Thornton, Ronnie Harris, William Harris and Vernon Edwards.
