MISS ELSIE KIETZER, 46, LOMIRA, DIES AT HOME OF MOTHER IN MILWAUKEE

Mrs. Elsie Kietzer, 46, widow of Robert Kietzer of Lomira, died Thursday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Charles Strahlow, in Milwaukee after prolonged illness.

Born May 19, 1892, in Germantown, she was married April 18, 1911, to Mr. Kietzer. After their marriage they resided in Theresa where Mr. Kietzer was in the furniture and undertaking business. They moved to Lomira 21 years ago and since the death of Mr. Kietzer in 1925 Mrs. Kietzer had conducted a furniture and undertaking business which they established there. Their son, Lester will continue the business.

Surviving are her son and mother; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome Luedtke and Mildred of Lomira; two grandchildren; a brother Elmer, of Milwaukee and grandmother, Mrs. Dora Braun of Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from St. John's Lutheran Church in Lomira, the Rev. Rudolph Pietz officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery in Theresa. The body will lie in state at the Kietzer funeral home in the village from Saturday afternoon until Monday noon, when it will be removed to the church, lying in state there until the funeral hour.

SERVICES FOR MRS. KIETZER 1938

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Elsie Kietzer from St. John's Lutheran church the Rev. R. Pietz officiating Interment was made in the Union cemetery at Theresa. The pallbearers were Andrew Spielman, A.A. Tolzman, Andrew Sauer, Henry Burgert, Alfred Klein and John Kiefer. The funeral was largely attended and the floral displays were numerous and beautiful.

Elsie Marie Kietzer was born on May 19, 1892, at Germantown, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strehlow, and died on Sept 22, at about 5 p.m. at the home of her mother in Milwaukee. She had been a patient sufferer for the past nine months from a lingering illness. On April 18, 1911, she was married to Robert Kietzer at St. Paul's Lutheran church in the town of Lomira. To this union three children were born, Lester, Dorothy (Mrs Jerome Luedtke), and Mildred. Soon after their marriage they purchased a furniture store here and following the death of Mr. Kietzer on March 28, 1925, Mrs. Kietzer continued to conduct the business. She had been assisted for the past few years by her son, who will continue with the business.

Besides the children, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Strehlow, her grand-mother, Mrs. Dora Brown, and one brother, Elmer Strehlow, all of Milwaukee. Her father, Charles Strehlow, and a brother, Clarence, preceded her in death.
