Ralph DeHaven Sr.
Ralph W. DeHaven Sr., 70, 3730 Sena Drive, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 8.
He was born Feb. 13, 1900, at Abilene, and lived in Topeka 20 years. He owned and operated the Topeka Wholesale Meat Co., before he retired in 1962.
He was a member of Central Park Christian Church in Topeka, Benevolent Lodge No. 98, AF&AM, and York Rite bodies, all at Abilene, and Isis Shrine at Salina.
He was married to Wilma Mull Feb. 16, 1922, at Wellington. She survives. A son, Ralph DeHaven Jr., died in 1966.
Other survivors include six brothers, David DeHaven, 2011 Stone, Walter DeHaven, Abilene, Bruce DeHaven and Benjamin DeHaven, both of Hoisington, Charles DeHaven, Great Bend, and Paul DeHaven, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Belden, Salina, and Mrs. Alice bennett, Wichita, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
