On Monday morning at 7 o'clock John Sheehy passed away after a short illness. He was 76 years of age and was born in Limerick, Ireland. When a youth he came to this country and made his home in Amenia, later moving to Little Rest, and upon retiring, made his home on Merritt avenue, where he has lived for many years. Mr. Sheehy's death came as a shock to his many friends and relatives, although he had been in poor health since the death of his wife in March. He was a splendid Christian man of sterling qualities. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for a great many years, and was very active in that organization. He leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. Ray Rogers, and eight grandchildren, as well as two brothers and three sisters as well as a host of friends.
