Edna Trojcak Hickam passed peacefully at Unlimited Care on July 16, 2010, during a glorious New Mexico sunset. Edna was born on November 2, 1920 in Moulton, Texas. Edna came of age during the depression, was a retired federal employee with 33 years of service extending from World War II through MacArthur's occupation of Japan and a comptroller at KAFB. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Edna also was a devout Methodist, avid gardener and van guard green person who never wasted anything. Edan is survived by her brother, Jim Trojcak, son, Charles Hickam and his wife, Patty Shuman, daughter, Suzanne Hoefel, grandson, Zachary Hoefel and his wife, LeeAnn, their children Elena and a soon to arrive son and grandson, Dustin Hoefel and his wife, Kelsey. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church 4601 Juan Tabo, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010.
