MRS. CASSIE HARTE DIED IN NEBRASKA

Body Brought To Holyoke Thursday; Burial At Pleasant Valley

Mrs. Cassie Harte, mother of Cliff Harte of Holyoke, died at Alma, Nebraska, Wednesday, November 27. She was buried in the Pleasant Valley cemetery beside the body of her husband Friday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted in the Pleasant Valley school house by Rev. E.A. Walden. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Colver Brothers.

Mrs. Harte was born at Buchanan, Missouri, November 24, 1855. In 1870 she was married to Truman Harte. Eight children were born to this union, all of which are still living. On April 24, 1924 [ April 16, 1924] Mr. Harte died. Two years ago Mrs. Harte moved to Alma, Nebraska, where she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Buhrman until her
death. From 1920 until early in 1928 Mrs. Harte made her home in this community.

The body was returned to Holyoke Thursday, and was accompanied by Mrs. Nellie Buhrman, Otis and Roland Harte.

Of the eight children one lives near Holyoke, liff Harte, three live at Alma, Nebraska, Otis, Roland and Mrs. Buhrman, one lives at Venango, Mrs. Rodney Davis, besides Mrs. Charles Hale of Savannah, Missouri, Mrs. Fred Herbaugh of Centralia, Washington, and Charles Harte of Phoenix, Arizona.

Mrs. Harte was just past 73 years of age when death overtook her. Death resulted from an
anemic-dropiscal condition. She had been a member of the Methodist church all her life.
