Born in Carnesville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James Luther Cochran and Carrie Belle Murphy.
Mrs. Lee was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.
Josie is survived by two daughters, MarthaAnn Baker and Kathey Matthews; son, Tony Lee; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Louise Bramlett and one brother, Winfred Cochran.
She was preceded in death by three children, James Benjamin Smith, Jewell Marie Davis, and Don Lee; four sisters, and four brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation prior from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will follow at Graceland West Cemetery.
