Paula J. (Hicks) Gibson, 52, of Gardner, Massachusetts died peacefully at her residence, Saturday afternoon, June 22nd, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Oklahoma City, daughter of Raymond Hicks and the late Frances (Wheeler) Hicks. Paula grew up in Edmond and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and Oklahoma State University with a degree in fashion merchandising.

Paula worked as assistant store manager for Big Lots. She enjoyed reading and volunteered at events held at the Templeton Fish and Game Club. She was a pet lover, and leaves behind a dog and two cats.

In addition to her father, she leaves her husband of 21 years, Ray A. Gibson; a stepson, Mathew Gibson and wife Missy of Athol, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Axonna, Damien, Zoey and Mathew Jr.; a sister, Essa Hicks of Springdale, Arkansas, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a host of friends.

Visitation hours will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home, 610 NW 178th St. Edmond, OK 73012, with a graveside service to proceed at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N. Kelly, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.crawfordcares.com.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
