Virginia Allen was born on May 25, 1916 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, the daughter of Noble Allen and Rachel Pettus.
She was almost 5 years old when she burned to death on April 20, 1921 in Montgomery County when her clothing caught fire while she was trying to kindle a fire for her mother who was washing clothes. Virginia was buried the next day in Boiling Spring Cemetery.
Information is from her Death Certificate, with her father Noble Allen of Trenton, Kentucky, Rural Route 1 as the informant.
[NOTE: Although the Death Certificate listed her name only as "an Allen child," census records indicate that she was one of at least eight children of Noble and Rachel and that her name was Virginia.]
