Genila (Atkinson) Vogt, 80 of Sidney Nebraska, passed away on June 23, 2013 The funeral service will be held at First Christian Church in Sidney Nebraska on Wednesday June 26th at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Mark Zalesky conducting the funeral service. Visitation will be held before the service at 9 a.m. at the First Christian Church located at 940 Thirteenth Avenue, in Sidney Nebraska. The burial service will immediately follow the funeral services and be conducted at the Big Springs Nebraska cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Austin-Tennant Funeral Home of Julesburg CO.

Genila was born in Oshkosh Nebraska on February 22 1933. She attended country school outside of Oshkosh Nebraska. Genila was married to Ardean Vogt. They were married 48 years. Genila worked as a cook for Union 76 for several years. Genila enjoyed Fishing, sewing, and her Grandchildren.

Genila is survived by 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. 4 Daughters and 1 Son. Dianna and Robert Kurz, Vicky and Curtis Simmons, Donna Rochlitz all of Sidney Nebraska. Deana McIntyre of Ogallala Nebraska.and Rex Murray of Peoria, IL.

Genila is preceded in death by husband Ardean Vogt, parents Glen and Helen Atkinson 9 brothers and sisters and 2 Grandchildren Scotty Ray and Mathew Diaz. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Donna Rochlitz 1805 10th Ave. Sidney, Ne 69162.
