ADOLPH R. DUCHOW (d. 1967)

Adolph R. Duchow, 92, of Collins, died Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Wendland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Duchow was born March 30, 1875, in the Town of Rantoul, Calumet County, son of the late William and Carline Prahl Duchow. He married Katie Steltenpohl at Marshfield, Wis., Nov. 6, 1916. He farmed until 1913 and then operated a tavern at Collins until 1946 when he retired. He also worked for the Soo Line Railroad for many years. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in 1966.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Willard of Rt. 1, Valders, and Adolph Jr., Emil and Herman of Rt. 4, Chilton, and 14 grandchildren. A son, Harvey, in 1940 and three brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday until 10:30 Wednesday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until time of service.
