She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Clarence R. "Junie" Schaal; and five brothers and sisters, Frank, Michael and Carl Bentze, Agnes Johnson and Dorothy Peterson.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Franks of Erie; two sons, Alan C. Schaal and his wife, Patricia and Craig W. Schaal and his wife, Loretta of Erie; two grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
