Sadie Clark Howell, 67, 107 Duffey Street, died at the Audubon Hospital in Louisville Nov. 20, 1981. She was the wife of the Rev. Joe Howell. Born July 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Alice Cash and James Isaac Oakes. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Charles Lee Clark, of Buffalo, Ky., and Lemuel Thomas Clark, Campbellsville; two daughters, Geraldine Sprowles, of Campbellsville, and Sarah Mae Vance, Buffalo. Also surviving are three step-sons, Lonnie, Hanley and Glen Howell, all of Buffalo; two step-daughters, Sherry Boyd and Theresa Sharp, both of Hodgensville; one brother, Stanley Oakes, Campbellsville; two sisters, Dorothy Atwell, of Earlville, Ill., and Ida Warren, Mt. Sherman. There are eight grandchildren surviving, one great-grandchild and eight step-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. at the Lyon Funeral Home November 23 by the Rev. Gerald Gardner and the Rev. Riley Goff. Burial in Skaggs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl and Greg Nelson, T. I. Loy, Richard Skaggs, J. B. Oaks and Jimmy Clark
