Funeral services for Blanche Larsen, 83 J of Bancroft were held on Wednesday, December 5 at the First Baptist Church in Bancroft.
Mrs. Larsen passed away at the Titonka Care Center on Sunday, December 2, 1990.
Rev. Donald Mueller, pastor, officiated at the 2:00 o'clock service.
Casket bearers were Byron Hauge, Terry Olsen, Donald Vande, Jim Pergande, Dennis McCleish and George Anderson.
Interment was in the Greenwood Township Cemetery, Bancroft, with the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Bancroft, in charge of arrangements.
Blanche Elnora Larsen was born on February 28, 1907, at Lone Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Laura (Vande) Cutler. She attended rural school and the Bancroft Public School.
Blanche was married to Hubert Beckmann in 1924, who died in a gas truck accident.
She was married to Thomas Larsen on December 1,1923 at Rockport, Mo. They lived at Harlan, Iowa for two years before moving to Bancroft. They moved to Mountain View, Ark. in 1949, and returned to Bancroft in 1957.
Tom passed away in 1960.
Blanche worked for many years at Welp's Hatchery. She loved to do embroidering and bead work for her family and friends.
Survivors are two daughters, JoAnn Johnson of Bancroft, Iowa and Mrs. Elrid (Dolores) Simmons of Manawa, Wisc; and two sons, Ralph Beckmann of Galesburg, llinois. and Thomas Larsen of Jonesboro, Tenn. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Fredriksen of Aplington, Iowa; and two brothers, Art Cutler of Swea City, Iowa and Leonard Cutler of Waterloo, Iowa.
Blanche was preceded in death, by her parents, her husband, a great granddaughter and one brother.
