Mr. Aster V. Agan, Jr., age 71 of Villa Rica, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Tanner Medical Center-Villa Rica. Mr. Agan, best known to his many friends and in his work associations as "A.V.", was born in Carroll County on September 13, 1941, the son of the late Mr. Aster V. Agan, Sr. and Mrs. Nellie Bohannon Agan. He was owner of Agan Construction Company, a residential home construction company, for 45 years. "A.V.", was a member of the Fullerville Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason and was a member of the Villa Rica Lodge #72 F&AM. Mr. Agan was preceded in death by his father, Aster V. Agan, Sr. and brothers, Clarence Agan, Dale Agan, and Joe Agan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the J. Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fullerville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Swafford and Rev. Chip Daniel officiating.
Interment will follow in the Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens.
