He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Indiana University. Laurance was wed to Mary Anna Ham on May 29, 1930, in Lafayette by Rev. L Williams.
In January of 1940, he and Mary Anna were named co-superintendents of the Cary Home for Children in Lafayette. Just two weeks later, Mary Anna's life was cut short by a bout of pneumonia, she was 33.
Laurence later joined Alcoa, worked there for 19 years. He was a member of the Congress Methodist Church and was a member pf F & AM Lafayette Lodge 123, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianaoplis.
He passed on September 24 of 1973 at sixty-seven years of age. He was laid to rest next to Mary Anna. Submitted by Cousin - Anita Rodgers.
