Magdalena Severin Dammann was the daughter of Peter Severin and Margretha Sturk Severin. Magdalena came to America in the ship "Wieland" and arrived 23 May 1883. She was married to William Henry Dammann. Their children are Margaret Sophia, Adelia K., Ella Marie, Elizabeth Mathilda and Emma Helen Dammann.

OBITUARY; DEMOCRAT - MAY 20, 1925 - DEATH NOTICES - DAMMANN - Mrs. Lena Dammann, wife of Willam H. Dammann, died at 2:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the family home in Eldridge. Her death followed a lingering illness. Mrs. Dammann, whose maiden name was Miss Lena Severin, was born in Holstein, Germany, on Jan. 18, 1863. She came to this country and to Scott County in 1883 and here on Oct 15, 1886, she was married to William H. Dammann. The couple settled on a farm, one-half mile south of Eldridge, where they remained until May, 1918, when they retired and moved to Eldridge. Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Evers, Mrs. Adele Guy and Mrs. Emma Litscher of Eldridge, Mrs. Ella Guy of Davenport and Mrs. Bessie Rostenbach of Buffalo, Ia; two brothers, Peter Severin of Buffalo and Henry Severin of Keil, Germany, and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the late home at 11 o'clock Thursday morning and interment will be in Long Grove Cemetery.
