Mr. Wilfong was a United States Navy veteran and a lifelong member of First ARP Church in Gastonia, where he was a former Deacon. He was a graduate of Gastonia High School and liked to golf, fish and was a western square dancer for over 40 years. He danced with the Rebel Reelers and the Grand Spinners.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Clarene Hilton Wilfong; and brother, Earle A. Wilfong.
"A golden heart stopped beating and hardworking hands were put to rest. We will miss him so much."
