Carlos Pineda, 23, Los Angeles; Corporal, United States Marine Corps. Pineda died Friday as a result of wounds sustained from enemy small-arms fire in combat in Fallouja, Iraq. He was assigned to The 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
