Lezette Lewis McReynolds was born September 6, 1923, to Don and Wilna Lewis on an Ellis County farm near Midlothian, Texas. She went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2010, after a brief illness. While a student at UT Austin, she met and married Bill McReynolds (who broadcast on WOAI for 50 years), with whom she enjoyed 66 years of marriage. She received statewide recognition for organizing and leading 4-H Clubs in urban schools in the San Antonio area. She was active in the Bible Memory Association and worked to build God's word into the lives of family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, and three sons Michael and wife Phyllis, Mark, and Don and wife Sharon, as well as 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and her brother Troy Lewis and wife Patricia of Midlothian, Texas. A private family graveside service will be followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Wayside Chapel Evangelical Free Church in San Antonio, Texas.
