Homer J Watts was born November 30, 1921, at Crandall S.D., the son of Henry and Isabelle Darlene Meyer Watts.

Following the family's move to MT., he attended school at Hysham and Sanders, then worked for his father on a farm at Forsyth.

Following the elder Watts' death in 1942, the family moved to Kinsey.

In 1943, Homer enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Timber Wolf Division.
He participated in the historic WWII Battle of the Bulge, and was involved in releasing prisoners from concentration camps, prior to his discharge in January, 1945.

Following his marriage to Shirley Myran in Miles City, July 1, 1946, the couple moved to the farm west of Terry which they operated until ill health prompted his retirement.

He was a long-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr Watts, 61, died at his Miles City home December 30, 1982.

Mr. Watts is survived by his wife, one son, Ron J of Terry; four daughters, Alice Hill, Barb Finneman and Deb Sloan, all of Miles City, and Bev Smith of Terry; seven brothers, Henry Watts and Harold Watts of Kinsey, Herman and Howard Watts of Billings, Harry Watts of Ismay, Harvey Watts of Miles City, and Herbert Watts of Livingston; two sisters, Annabelle Jones of Livingston and Isabella Myran of Miles City; and 10 grandchildren.
