Mr. Kruse died Monday, October 16, 1978 at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer.
He was born April 23, 1892, to Peter and Ida (Jensen) Kruse in Clay County, Iowa.
He was married to Onita Edmunds in 1924. She died in November, 1942.
He was married to Anna Runge in 1947. She died in April, 1955.
The majority of Mr. Kruse's life was in farming tiling in the Everly area.
Surviving are two sons, Garold Minor Kruse and Darrell LaVerne Kruse, both of Spencer; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Arlene) Smith of Redfield, Iowa; Mrs. Clarence (Leona) Smith of Linden, Iowa; Mrs. Walter (Charlotte) Bonnstetter of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Mrs. Johnny (Vera)Keltz of Spencer; four step-daughters, Mrs. James (Maya) Crawford and Mrs. Lyle (Martha) Gadd, both of Spirit Lake; Mrs. Amos (Betty) Hollander of Everly and Mrs. Harold (Frances) Edwards of Milford; 19 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Kruse of Windom, Minnesota and Everett Kruse of Bingham Lake, Minnesota; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Hilda)
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, three brothers and three sisters.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
