Lawrence Morgan. 38, died at 4:05 yesterday afternoon in St. Mary's hospital here from injuries sustained yesterday just before noon when the automobile he was driving was struck by a Southern Railroad freight train southeast of Centralia at the crossing on Perrine road.

An inquest was to be held today but was delayed until members of the tram crew could be here to testify, it was reported this morning.

Funeral services for Mr. Morgan will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock m the Boggs Funeral Home here with the Rev. R. L. Thorp, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan, who lived on Walnut Hill road was a pumper for the Sohio Pipeline Company and had lived here three and a half years.

He was born at Slickford Ky., Oct 26, 1905, to Mr. and Mrs. William Morgan and was married to Wynema Gibson in Jeffersonville, Ind., in 1930.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, James Lewis, 7 at home: his mother, who lives in Cooper, Ky. ; three brothers, Ray and Noble of Cooper and Hubert Morgan of Frisby, Ky., and four sisters, Mrs. Joe Stokley, West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. O. F. Mercer, Frazer, Ky., Mrs. O.M. Williams, Somerset, Ky., and Miss Myrtle Morgan, Cooper, Ky. — Centralia, Illinois Sentinel.
