Carrie Stott was born to parents Charles and Harriet Silver Stott in 1882 within a year of her family moving to Nebraska. At this time we believe she was born in Vesta and would live out her preciously short life in this town. She fell ill at the age of 10 and would die in June of 1892. She was described in the account of her death as a remarkably bright and promising young scholar and was certainly taken from this earth to soon. Her parents left Vesta and moved to Kansas within a year of Carries death.
